The Professional Shop is located in the original Ben Sayers factory adjacent to the 1st tee. When it was built it had to be sunken into the ground to give the surrounding houses an uninterrupted view of the coastline, which resulted in its unique look and reputation for being an ‘Aladdin's Cave'.

Our Head Professional, Martyn Huish, is a fully qualified PGA Professional (AA Status). Martyn succeeded his Father in 2009 and has seen the shop into its fifth decade as a Huish family business. He has a team of four fully qualified PGA Professionals; with their range of expertise, they plan and deliver coaching programmes for Men, Ladies and Juniors of all ability levels.

The shop underwent a full refurbishment in 2014 with considerable investment from Martyn and the Club to provide all Members and Visitors with a first-class experience. The success of this development was quickly recognised, and they were awarded the TGI Golf ‘Pro Shop of the Year'. The shop stocks the latest equipment from five of the major brands in golf, along with an extensive range of West Links merchandise from brands such as Peter Millar, Houlderness and Bourne, Kjus, Ivanhoe, Abacus and PRG Golf. 

In 2019, the Professional Shop established a brand-new state of the art indoor golf studio located near the club. It is fully fitted with the latest Trackman technology, two full swing bays and a putting area, and brings another first-class experience to our members, visitors and the general public. The Professional team can offer a range of services including in-depth coaching analysis, full custom fitting experience, simulator hire and bespoke events. Currently they offer equipment from Titleist, Callaway, Taylormade, Ping and Mizuno; allowing the customer to compare clubs from the leading brands in one appointment.
